On Sunday 10 of my family and friends walked with me in the 2008 OC Susan G. Koman Race for the Cure for Breast Cancer. I am a 18 1/2 year survivor and this is the 5th race that Kevin, Melissa and I have walked in. Some of my friends have also walked with us each year. It is mind boggling to see everyone there all in support of trying to find a cure for this disease that affects so many people. It’s the one day of the year that walking 3.2 miles doesn’t seem so bad. Thank you to everyone that made donations or walked with us or “Slept In For The Cure” this year. It was so great to have such wonderful support. Several of us are already planning on next years! We took lots of pictures that I have put on a photo website that you can visit and see how much fun we had.
The amount of banannas for the runners as they finished was crazy! Thank you to all the volunteers that helped put on such a great event!
